ScholarshipThe Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS London) is offering a
Masters Scholarship (the Scholarship) which will cover the full fee
value associated with the completion of a full time Transport
Masters course within a relevant UK university during the 2009/10
academic year.
In addition to the fee sponsorship, the Scholarship also includes
WTS London Student Membership for the duration of the course. This
includes year-round invitations to WTS events in London and access
to our network of Corporate Sponsors, partners and members, many of
whom have an involvement at senior levels in the UK transport
industry. This network could be particularly valuable, to the right
candidate, in securing employment following completion of the
course in 2010.

The application process for the Scholarship is in two parts,
both of which have the same deadline (10th July 2009).
Scholarship Recommendation Form:
- Applicants must be recommended by the Head of Department or Course Supervisor, based on a personal interview with the candidate.
- An explanation of the reasons for that recommendation must be provided using the Scholarship Recommendation Form.
- All forms must be returned via the online form or alternatively they can be downloaded from our website, completed on your own PC/Mac and returned by email to wtslondon@tfl.gov.uk by 17:00 on 10th July 2009 for consideration.
- The subject line of the application (if submitting by email) should include (i) the applicants full name and (ii) WTS London Scholarship Application 2009/10.
Scholarship Application Form:
- Recommended applicants must also complete the WTS London Masters Scholarship Application, including all attachments.
- All forms must be returned via the online form or alternatively they can be downloaded from our website, completed on your own PC/Mac and returned by email to wtslondon@tfl.gov.uk by 17:00 on 10th July 2009 for consideration.
- The subject line of the application (if submitting by email) should include (i) the applicants full name and (ii) WTS London Scholarship Application 2009/10.
Conditions of the Scholarship
- WTS London reserves the right not to award a Scholarship in 2009/10 if it receives insufficient applications of the right quality. WTS London may also, at its discretion, consider later applications if the Scholarship remains unfilled after the initial round of applications.
- All decisions made by WTS London in relation to the Scholarship award are final.
- WTS London reserves the right to withdraw any outstanding part of the Scholarship at any point in the year should the presentations and written report not be provided by the successful candidate in line with the agreed timescale.
- If the successful applicant leaves or is asked to leave the course for any reason prior to completion, WTS London will not pay any further instalments and reserves the right to reclaim the prior amounts paid.
