Page Title About Us

Photo - Girl on bench - London UndergroundWTS International was founded in the US in 1977 and has grown over the years into an organisation of almost 4,000 members, both men and women.  WTS has substantially influenced US transport policy since its inception almost thirty years ago.

The organisation is dedicated to the professional advancement of women in transportation, helping women find opportunity and recognition in the industry.

WTS London was launched in 2005, in acknowledgement of a chronic under-representation of women in the transport industry.  WTS London is under-pinned by its policies on equality and diversity, sustainability and health and safety and the decisions of the organisations are governed by its Board.

WTS London strives to provide its members with a dynamic programme of events and development opportunities.  A key aim is to provide unique and cost-effective training for members and their employers.  See the News and Events section for more detail.
